The last post was a heavy one. Even though I have a few posts ready in the Media Series, and Media Narrative Series, the next few posts will (on purpose) focus on the beauty of the world.
The clouds of the recent events (relating to the last post) have not parted.
This is not a distraction.
It is an acknowledgment of need for beauty and calm, especially in confusing times.
White Nights
During winter, moisture freezes in the air. It is not always as cold as it looks. But seeing through the frozen moisture makes everything seem 'softer’.
Lake as a Mirror
This is our town at the beginning of autumn. The lake is so calm that the trees fall in love with their own multi-color reflections!
Morning Assembly by the Pacific
When the Pacific is your backyard. Morning school assembly in Taveuni,#Fiji
We were on our way back after a research trip to Taveuni, a beautiful Fijian island. And when I spotted these school children getting ready for their morning assembly I could not help but ask the cab driver to stop so I could get a picture. Imagine going to school here?? And how ingenious to have blue be the school uniform!
That right there, behind the kids and their young school teacher dressed in sulu-chamba (sarong and blouse) is the great Pacific.
